#asktheexpert my son has the habit of grinding teeth often .Kindly let me know to do lessen the habit

ExpertNiharika PandeyPediatric Dentist4 years agoA. Hi kids usually tend to grind their teeth during the teething phase to get relief from itching in the gums caused by the erupting teeth..other reason could be due to worms in stomach.. consult with your pediatrician for proper examination

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. In some cases, kids may grind because the top and bottom teeth aren't aligned properly. Others do it as a response to pain, such as from an earache or teething. Kids might grind their teeth as a way to ease the pain, just as they might rub a sore muscle. Many kids outgrow these fairly common causes for grinding.
