#AskTheExpert My son has not pooped for last 2 days. today is the 3rd day. is it something to worry. As we have given him colicaid too. he has cough and cold and has medicine (drops) prescribed by pediatrician. Does medicine affects his motion? What will be the solution for it

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 6 yr old girl3 years agoA. it's ok colic aid is not for poop. It is normal for the baby to not pass motion freely even for up to one week if the baby is on breastfeeding so no need to worry . if it is above one week or baby s in trouble then you can apply glycerine suppository for easy motion of the baby . no syrup for medicine is given orally till 2 years of age for constipation by self as not recommended.
