#AskTheExpert My son has nose block frequently and specially during night and is unable to sleep during day and night. And also be is austistic so can't speak so it is to difficult to understand. please guide whatto do.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. nasal blockage can be relieved by using nasal saline drops in the nose followed by nasal aspirator to take out the secretions very gently
steam inhalation will also be helpful in this case
if there are any conducted sounds or whl.eezing and the baby is not able to feed then you need to take an opinion from your pediatrician if any further treatment is required for this.

subravaneeMom of a 9 yr 2 m old boy4 years agoA. Nose block can be due to numerous reasons. For now you can use nasal spray as its just saline water it will clear the nasal path and in case he has cold it will come out.You can use this many times a day pretty safe actually.You can get him tested for wheezing if he is catching this frequently.At night make your room a bit humid by placing a bowl of warm water at a reasonable distance from him.
