#AskTheExpert my son has 2 year 11 month old he has cough. We have changed many cough syrup after consultation of doctors but not get relief from cough. During night he coughs a lots. Please suggest any cough syrup

A. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loscs of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given. along withfl. that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

A. hi dear For children 1 year and older: Use honey, 2 to 5 mL, as needed. The honey thins the mucus and loosens the cough. (If you do not have honey, you can use corn syrup). Recent research has shown that honey is better than store-bought cough syrups at reducing how often coughing happens and how bad coughing is at night.
