#AskTheExpert My son had his vaccination today, the Dr prescribed paracetamol 125 mg. I think I mis heard the dose for it and want to know how much dose do we have to give to 1.5 month old baby. His weight is 4.8kg it's written that each 5ml consist of 125mg paracetamol.. Please tell me the correct dose

A. give 2.5ml for fever from that paracetamol when fever comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
