Q.

#AskTheExpert my son 2 year 2 month old , speaks very little only few words. I try a lot to make him speak more but he is always busy playing / jumping or playing in lawn with a dog. I see other kids of his age talking a lot but my son is just not interested. He is otherwise a happy and busy in his own world type kid. what should I do ?

A. Hi,Generally baby start to speak around 2 year of age If your baby speaks few words like few words like maa, paa, baa etc then no need to worry. Speak more and more with your baby. Ask everyone in the family to talk to the baby. Tell stories and sing nursery rhymes with your child. Engage the baby with other children of same age group.
