Q.

#AskTheExpert My one year old child used to say few words like mumma, dada nd would shout out loud while playing by himself, but from the last one month he has stopped saying those words or smile/laugh by himself...Is it normal for a 1 year old to stop saying words or stop listening to calls or gesture made to them, which he used to speak nd respond a month before... please advise

A. it is important that when the children are speaking those words it should be in reference to the person that is the child is saying mummy papa or any particular reference directly to a person and not randomly then only you say that the child has achieved that milestone. otherwise randomly repeating a particular word is not language development

A. Talk more to your baby. Ask a lot of questions to baby and wait to her a response. Encourage baby to give an answer. If baby tries to speak, wait listen and ask questions. Keep talking to baby and answer to all the babbles. Tell your nay everything you do like I'm taking you to park I'm changing your diaper every little thing trybto explain to your baby and baby. Just keep talking and respond to everything your baby babbles or speaks it will be alright
