Q.

#AskTheExpert my one month baby is not sleeping whole night..I make consultation with dr he prescribed some lactase enzyme as she has acute colic and occasionally I give her colicaid...but for three days she has now very bad congestion in her nose and I am continuously using normal saline drops and still she is not improving...again I went to dr ss she has little cough also and he said she has no chest congestion only nose congestion but still prescribed zifi antibiotic..plz let me know if there is some thing to be worried and what are the best treatments for my baby problems.. thanking you..

A. Kindly continue the medicine given by your doctor and take a follow up. Follow up is also required because the doctor will tell you whether you have to continue the same medicines or there will be changed in the medicines for the child dr will tell if there is anything to worry or not

A. hi as such no need to worry. but here I suggest some remedies which work well with my child in same case ,hope it help you too : put a bowel of chopped onion and garlic pods near your child bed approx 1.4 feet far overnight,the smell is not so pleasant but it surely help to reduce nasal congestion. keep your child head slightly elevated while sleeping. you can also apply warm paste of Turmeric powder and water on chest and back of your child. give Sunbath daily in morning.
