#AskTheExpert My nipple is painful and it will bleed sometimes am not able to feed my 5 month old is it ok to only feed on formula coz expressing milk is not happening as only little comes and he doesn’t drink with nipple shield

A. dear mom hydrate yourself well for better flow of milk seek doctors advise as exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months of age is recommended please avoid formula milk

Hi mom Take more water fruits vegetables protein rich nutritious food to increase your milk supply Apply nipple sore gel Take a good care of your baby Maintain hygiene Apply coconut oil regularly Maintain hydration Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs to relieve gas and constipation Try to keep head up position while feeding
