#AsktheExpert My niece is 4 days old and having jaundice (value=15.3md/Dl). Is it necessary to get him a phototherapy,please suggest.

A. hi, your baby is 4 days old now.its difficult to comment based on bilirubin levels only there are many more factors including baby's weight,blood group situation,any other risk factors .

A. Can we wait til Saturday and then go for phototherapy? please suggest

A. pls don't worry about phototherapy..Initially it was given to my baby boy as well.. Nothing much to worry.. It is safer and trustable... within 2 days they will take it back once the level is stabilized
