#AsktheExpert My niece is 4 days old and having jaundice (value=15.3md/Dl). Is it necessary to get him a phototherapy,please suggest.

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi, your baby is 4 days old now.its difficult to comment based on bilirubin levels only there are many more factors including baby's weight,blood group situation,any other risk factors .

SindhujaGuardian of a 4 yr 11 m old boy4 years agoA. pls don't worry about phototherapy..Initially it was given to my baby boy as well.. Nothing much to worry.. It is safer and trustable... within 2 days they will take it back once the level is stabilized
