#asktheexpert my girl is 3 year 4 month old she is putting her finger mostly nails in her mouth. this is started recently. plz tell this is because of any deficiency or a just habit and also how to stop it as she is getting stomach infection sometimes.

A. It is just a habit which is commonly seen in kids of 3 to 5 year of age. Don’t worry try to make her understand not to do that abd keep her nails trim abd ask her to wash hands often

There could be a percentage of charge that your child could be having deficiency of calcium which is why your child is behaving so I would advise you to consult your paediatrician regarding that a confirmation can only be provided by a doctor and they can only suggest you a supplement as wellWrite Your Answer Here
