A. Yogurt is a natural probiotic. It neutralizes stomach cramps and diarrhea. The good bacteria in yogurt replaces the microbes lost from the gut and helps reinstate the microflora. You may soak fenugreek seeds, grind them into a paste and mix this into your child's yogurt to relieve the child from distress. If your toddler doesn't resent eating, offer him bland, non-spicy soothing foods like rice or khichdi in small quantities. Avoid giving him greasy, spicy foods as these are difficult to digest and may upset your child further.
