A. Toe walking is relatively common in young children, especially those just learning to walk, and often resolves on its own by age 2 or 3. However, if your daughter continues to walk on her toes consistently, it might be worth monitoring. Persistent toe walking can sometimes be associated with tight calf muscles, a neurological condition like cerebral palsy, or a developmental issue like autism spectrum disorder. To help, you can: Encourage activities that promote flat-foot walking (e.g., walking on uneven surfaces like grass or sand). Stretch her calf muscles gently if they seem tight. Consult a pediatrician or physical therapist if toe walking continues beyond age 3 or if you're concerned about her motor development. They may recommend exercises, physical therapy, or further evaluation if necessary.
