A. Frequent urge to urinate along with irritation and pain in your daughter could be a sign of a urinary tract infection (UTI), which is common in young children, especially girls. Other symptoms may include burning while urinating, lower belly pain, or sometimes even fever. It’s important to: Ensure she drinks plenty of water. Maintain good hygiene—clean front to back after using the toilet. Avoid using strong soaps or bubble baths around her private area. Please consult a pediatrician soon. A simple urine test can confirm if it’s a UTI, and proper treatment with antibiotics will help her feel better quickly. Do not delay if symptoms continue or worsen.
