#AskTheExpert my daughter she is 6 month old. she is on BM, she feed only for 5 minutes in 1-2 hrs duration is it normal??this much milk is enough for her???

A. dear mum feeding frequency and duration varies from baby to baby if baby is passing urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hours is active alert and gaining adequate weight then feeding is sufficient for not worry after completion of 6 months begin top food in addition to breastfeeding

Q. My baby sometimes is so deep in sleep that he doesn’t demand feed for 5-6 hrs. There are days where he will feed for only 5-7 minutes in about 2 hrs and then sleep. And there are some days wherein he will feed for 10-15 minutes in about an hour. How do I create a balance. Is it okay that a 2.5 month old baby doesn’t demand feed on some days? Is it okay to wake him up for a feed every 2 hrs?
