#asktheexpert my daughter's weight is less for her age...what shoukd i do

A. Hi Mom, if your baby is active, happy and eating properly then do not worry about her weight. you can give homecooked foods and avoid packed, processed foods. include boiled potato, sprouts and pulses, banana, chikko, nuts and dried fruits, porridge, sheera, pancake, chila, stuffed idli, dosa, stuffed roti or paratha, rice and daliya recipes with veggies, fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, egg, chicken and fish if non-vegetarian, etc and use ghee in meal preparations. feed on regular intervals after 2 hours follow good hygiene avoid force feeding and overfeeding.

A. hi for Healthy weight gain, offer starch rich food like boiled potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice to your child. give energy dense fruits like apple banana papaya etc to your child. add dairy products like paneer curd ghee milk etc in your child diet. give Massage to your child daily maintain good hygiene
