#AskTheExpert my daughter is so thin as she born with1.7kgs and now she is 6 n 1/2 months her weight is 6kgs and I started solid food but still she is not gaining weight

A. hi parent weight gain depends upon birth wiegth and maturity of the baby if the baby is active and feeding adequately don't worry about it maintain hydration keep a track on urine output

A. As your baby was under weight at the time of birth, it may take more time to gain weight. You can include foods like lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, pear and carrot puree, ragi and sooji porridge, mixed vegetable soup, khichdi, home made cerelac, etc in the diet. Feed thus twice a day and 4-6 times milk.
