A. Snoring in a 4-year-old can be fairly common, but it's important to monitor if it’s accompanied by other symptoms like difficulty breathing, restless sleep, or daytime sleepiness. Snoring may occur due to nasal congestion, allergies, enlarged tonsils or adenoids, or even sleeping in certain positions. It could also be due to mild issues like a cold or teething. If the snoring is loud, persistent, or accompanied by pauses in breathing, it might be worth consulting your pediatrician to rule out conditions like sleep apnea or other underlying issues. In the meantime, ensure the child sleeps with their head slightly elevated, maintain a humidified room, and keep the nasal passages clear if they’re congested.
