#AskTheExpert my daughter is having a little cough. can we took her for vaccination tomorrow?

A. yes simple cough and cold, low grade fever, loose motions etc as well as simple discomfort of the child for a few days is not a contraindication for vaccination and it is advisable to go for vaccination at the earliest. the maximum you can delay would be around 2-3 weeks but after that it is advisabdle not to delay the vaccination. in severe illness only vaccination should be delayed. if still in confusion you can meet your doctor who will examine the child and tell you whether vaccination delay is preferable or you can go for vaccination

A. Hi mom Yes u can get ur baby vaccinated if having little cough. There is no problem in that. Fever swelling and rashes are the common symptoms after vaccination. Take care and all the best
