Q.

#AskTheExpert My daughter is a healthy child except some cold and cough problems. Once or twice in a week, she says her heart beats faster. Yesterday I listened to her heart beats and her heart was beating too much faster to count the beats. It happens suddenly without any physical strain and I didn't find any particular situation when it happens. Pls let me know why it happens and what's the solution.

A. it appears to be allergic cough/cold. they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning. requires examination and start anti allergic medicines. meet dr and prevent sduch temperature variations. there is a possibility of starting anti allergic medicines for at least one month and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhaler therapy or nebulization.
