A. It’s common for a 9-month-old to prefer milk over solids, but it's important to gradually introduce solid foods to help her develop a balanced diet. Start by offering small amounts of pureed or mashed foods, such as banana, avocado, sweet potato, or rice porridge. Make the foods smooth and easy to swallow. You can offer solids after a milk feed, so she’s not too hungry or too full. Keep the meals fun and colorful to spark her interest. Try finger foods like soft-cooked vegetables, bread sticks, or small pieces of fruit that she can pick up. Be patient, as it may take time for her to adjust to new textures and flavors. If she continues to reject solids, consult her pediatrician to ensure there are no underlying issues.
