POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due this month4 months agoA. At 8 months old, your daughter should ideally have 3 solid meals a day along with 2 snacks and continued breastfeeding or formula milk.
Here’s a simple feeding guide:
Meals (3 times a day): Soft mashed or pureed foods like rice, dal, khichdi, mashed vegetables, fruits (banana, apple, pear), or soft-cooked cereals. Quantity: Start with 3–4 tablespoons and slowly increase to half a cup (about 100 ml) per meal as your baby’s appetite grows. Snacks (2 times): Light snacks like fruit puree, soft boiled egg yolk, paneer pieces, or a small bowl of curd. Milk feeds: Breast milk or formula 3–4 times a day, including before bedtime and early morning.
Make sure to:
Introduce one new food at a time. Offer water in small sips during or after meals. Watch for any allergies or digestive issues.
Every baby is different, so adjust portion sizes based on your baby’s hunger cues and activity level.
