Q.

#AskTheExpert my daughter is 6 month old and she is coughing from last 30 days ...already consult with doctor they suggest 2 syrup for cough and fever twice a day but i didn't see any improvement in her plz suggest me what to do next..

A. yes flu it shall need a proper examination and also if needed some tests to know about the problem in detail and then only any advise can be given about this issue so for .

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cjuough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the vfever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
