#AskTheExpert My daughter is 6.9yrs old. and her weight is 22.5kg. do i need to provide her protein powder, pediasure etc to increase her bone density.

A. Not necessary. You can give food that is rich in protein. Our pediatrician says supplements like pediasure or Horlicks tend to alter the growth hormones of the kids now and later cause obesity when they grow up into adults. So it's better to stick with plain milk and some home made nuts powder along with natural sweeteners like palm sugar or palm candy or jaggery or brown sugar to enhance the flavor.
