#AskTheExpert my daughter is 4 months and 21 days old an is weighing 5.6 kg Is she underweight? Also she sleeps very less how can we correct that?

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 11 m old girl4 years agoA. it is ok for baby. Breast feeding should be exclusively till 6 month of age. If not possible then only milk formula should be given. After that you can start with top feed along with cow milk .

From ages 6 to 12 months, a baby might grow 3/8 inch (about 1 centimeter) a month and gain 3 to 5 ounces (about 85 to 140 grams) a week. Expect your baby to triple his or her birth weight by about age 1 year.
