#AskTheExpert my daughter is 4 months and 21 days old an is weighing 5.6 kg Is she underweight? Also she sleeps very less how can we correct that?

A. Hello, your baby girl is 5 months old and her weight is 5.6 kg which is less than normal so give her enough nutritious milk and calcium vitamin d3 supplements

A. it is ok for baby. Breast feeding should be exclusively till 6 month of age. If not possible then only milk formula should be given. After that you can start with top feed along with cow milk .

A. Expect your baby to double his or her birth weight by about age 5 months. From ages 6 to 12 months, a baby might grow 3/8 inch (about 1 centimeter) a month and gain 3 to 5 ounces (about 85 to 140 grams) a week. Expect your baby to triple his or her birth weight by about age 1 year.
