Kanupriya SharmaMom of 3 children1 Year agoA. Hi,
I had a very similar experience with my daughter when she started her school. She used to cry a lot while in school, even other kids did. I used to stay outside her class making sure that she is dealt with properly. The teachers were very gentle and took good care of her. Gradually her crying reduced, but she would still stick to me after coming back home. I was in constant touch with teachers and used to ask her what all happened in school and tell her stories of how I and her father faced similar things when we were kids. As she started enjoying in her school, her behaviour started changing. It took her few months to get back to her normal self.
I think the most important thing that you need to ensure is that nobody is making her uncomfortable in school. Few kids do not like to be scolded just because they are crying(they are too young to get such scoldings), some others do not like to be laughed at (some teachers ask other kids to make fun of the one crying). If there is any such issue, talk to the management or get the school changed. If everything else is fine, just be patient. Your kid will be fine in sometime. Don't force her to do anything.
