Q.

#Asktheexpert My daughter is 3 years 10 months old. I wanted to give her deworming medicine, which we generally give half yearly. Which medicine I can give her and how much? As she recently had stomach pain before 3-4 days, which I think could be because of worm infection.

A. Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and then repeat the same dose after 14 days once this cycle should be repeated evervyy six months hat least till 5 year of age but it is advisable to give this medicine only after taking guidance by your doctor

A. I do not recommend you to give any medication to the child without consulting the doctor if there is an issue kindly talk to your doctor about it force they will cross check and confirm what is the problem as on that basis only they can advise you with proper medicationWrite Your Answer Here
