Q.

#AskTheExpert ... my daughter is 2 months old. Her bowel clearance happens every alternate day... is this normal? the day she doesn't do potty she has difficulty in sleeping at night

A. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day. If the consistency fof the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool. No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to medet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard. It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age
