#AskTheExpert my daughter had dry cough mild and cold 4 days ago since she had lot of discomfort in sleeping doctpr had prescribed phenargan for a day . but its not reduced yet.I m giving phenargan 1 ml from past 3 days . is it harmful .please advice

Dr Sameer awadhiyaFather of a 12 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. if the child is having some dry cough therefore regarding the symptoms you should get a proper physical examination done by your doctor and then only your doctor will give proper guidance regarding the complain so consult your doctor once thanks

Ankita MehtaMom of a 10 yr 1 m old girl4 years agoA. hi please don't self medicate your child. it can be harmful here instead of medicine ,I suggest some tips, hope it help: keep your child well hydrated give warm water with pinch of turmeric powder,give it in 2 tbsp quantity every 2 hours at sleep time, prepare small ball from jeggary ,dry ginger powder and pinch of turmeric powder,give it to keep it in mouth while sleeping dress your child in weather appropriate clothes provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day maintain good hygiene
