Q.

#AskTheExpert my child is two month old.She is not having sleep nowadays.only 7 hours sleep she is getting. We have tried all the possible methods.Enough breast feed also given but still she is not sleeping. will it affect growth?

A. Sleep Cycle in smaller babies is very different and they have a certain pattern initially which becomes regularize at around 6 to 8 months of age and if the baby is comfortfable with no irritability because of infantile colic nasal blockage any regurgitation etc ygou should not worry just give a comfortable position to the baby and no medicine is required.

Then you should consult your doctor because at this age a child should be sleeping for a minimum of 18 hours because a child for initial 3 to 4 months leave mostly for longer duration if your child is not maintaining that and it’s important for you to talk to your doctor aboutWrite Your Answer Here
