Q.

#AsktheExpert my child blabbles a lot in his own language but doesn't speak many words. he speaks mummy, papa, car, tractor but that's it. also when we ask him to speak masi, bua, chacha, he doesn't respond. is there a problem?

A. hi language milestone delay is common and you need to be patient and encourage him to speak with you and use audio and video of rhymes and picture books ..

A. Thanks Jasmine but he doesn't make an eye contact and doesn't even try to look at us when we are trying to make him speak. he is engrossed in his own toys,mobile etc. I am very worried

A. Hello dear parent, no there is no problem at all,, Your child is able yo speak these words, so he is absolutely going good. As he will grow more he will start speaking other words too. Keep interacting with and do nkt expect much in return. Speak to him in a very clear tone so that he understands and imitate also
