#asktheexpert my babys age is 4 months old and her weight is 5.100gms my question is this is correct weight for her age or not?

A. Dear Mom Babies should double their birth weight by 6 months. Best way to track baby's growth is by plotting height & weight periodically on a growth chart. Also keep a track of baby's milestones by carefully observing the baby.

A. hii...babies should double their birth weight by the time they are five months old and triple their birth weight by the time they are one year old. Babies generally gain 400 to 500 grams of weight per month after birth. So your babies weight is normal. Do not worry, just keep exclusively breast-feeding ,for the first six months.
