#AskTheExpert My baby was born at 35 weeks and is 2 weeks old now. his feeds are different at different time, he won't take beyond 40 ml sometimes and he asks for 80 ml at sometimes. How much should he get in a day? doc suggested demand feeding.

A. A 2-month-old baby should consume about 2 to 4 ounces of formula or breast milk per feeding, and should eat about every three to four hours. This amount will increase as your baby grows.
