#AskTheExpert My baby turns 2months on 18th ,from last 3days her poop smells strong like old milk.Is this normal to have smell to babies poop?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. it may be indigection Gas in smaller babies is a very common and a Matter of concern most of the times for care giver.
its mostly because of immaturity of the gut . formula feed or early introduction of cows milk in babies may be aggravating factor. proper burping after each feed is very important.
Enzyme preparations like aglozyme or vitazyme can be beneficial.Also colicaid drops can be given.

If your baby is totally on mother’s milk then you should definitely make some changes in your diet plan because babies digestion totally depends on Mother’s diet. Baby should be totally on mother’s milk and there is no need to give anything else till six months
