POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy7 months agoA. It's quite common for a 3-month-old baby to experience stomach noises (also known as borborygmi) after feeding. This is typically a normal occurrence and can happen for several reasons:
Digesting Food: After feeding, your baby's digestive system is actively working to break down the milk, which can cause gurgling or rumbling sounds in the stomach.
Air Swallowing: Babies often swallow air while feeding, which can also cause some stomach noise as it moves through the digestive tract. Burping your baby after feeds can help release any trapped air and reduce discomfort.
Normal Gut Movement: The intestines naturally contract and move food along the digestive tract, which can also produce sounds. This is typically harmless.
However, if your baby seems uncomfortable, cries excessively, or shows signs of tummy pain, it might be a good idea to consult your pediatrician to rule out any underlying issues like gas or digestive discomfort.
In most cases, stomach noises after feeding are completely normal and should not be a cause for concern.
