Rise in temperature in summers lead to loss of appetite
Try to give freshly made home made juices like watermelon juice if the child is not willing to take fruits or else seasonal fruits are good and will give fiber too
Salad, snack like Upma, poha, cheela , idli , dosa, cold sandwiches, wraps will attract the child to eat
Keep the child hydrated too
SandhyaMom of a 8 yr 8 m old girl4 years agoA. Hi, do not give more than 250 ML of milk in a day. And do not give plain milk you can give fresh fruit juice, milkshakes, Badam milk, butter milk. Since your baby has completed one year you can start giving all type of food which you prepare at home but make sure it is cooked well and it is soft and less oily and less spicy. Use jaggery instead of sugar. Give food in smaller quantity and give five meals in a day instead of giving three big meals.
8 AM-breakfast and a glass of milkshake
11 AM-any fruit
1 PM-rice and Sambar, vegetable fry and curd rice
4 PM-juice, milkshakes, vegetable soup
7 PM-Idli, upma. Make your own timetable so that you can cover different of pulses, veggies,fruits in a week. Always try to give food in smaller quantity. But make sure the plate is colourful and have 2 to 3 items.
