Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the colour of stool can be black due to iron supplements you might be giving to the child or it may be black due to formula milk you might be giving or it might be dark in colouxr naturally. if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the colour of the stool. if in confusion you can meet your doctor for clarification

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Babies who drink iron-fortified formula may have black poop regularly in their diapers, and this is totally normal, too. Iron ingredients in their formula causes poop to turn a dark black color. Cases, where dark black poop is not normal, is if your baby does not drink iron-fortified formula.
