#AskTheExpert My baby is two years old & he speak only few word linke mama, Papa & car. Jst wanted to check is that fine?

A. noted Baby start to say monosyllables like ma, da at 6 -7 months of age.  And Bisyllables like mama, dada, at 9-10 months of age  Baby start to say 2 words at 12-14 months of age  And jargon speech come at 15 -16 months of age.  Baby can speak simple sentences of 2-3 words at 20-24 months of age.  Some babys achieve these at early and some may be delay in achieving that.  No need to worry for that.   Spend more time with ur baby only  Encourage ur baby to speak  Avoid overcrowding of multiple languages at home to speak with baby Better to speak in mother tongue and teach that language to baby first

A. Hello mom Joe baby is speaking Shun words but not properly then in such case you should definitely join a speech therapy where will help in improving babies are speaking skills. But if you baby is not speaking a single word, then search Kijiye definitely consult with your doctor.
