A. dear mum, a chubby child is not an indicator for good health. if your child is active, playful, achieving all growth milestones, triples the birth weight by one year then it indicates good health. For healthy weight gain, child should be having a balanced diet having all the food groups now you should be giving all the foods that you prepare in your house. Give top food 4 to 5 times a day and up to one katori every time. Also give one healthy snack in between. Give nuts like almond, dry fruits. All seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, milk and milk products, chicken. At least 500 ml of milk and milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. Avoid fruit juice and instead give the whole fruit. avoid intake of junk and packet foods
