#asktheexpert my baby is not speaking even now, he cries saying amma ,but if we ask him to say amma again ,he only says ta ,can u pls help

A. Development of each child differs even though of the same age group.Does the child understands I means responds through action or tries to speak.Try to speak with the child maximum time.Limited screen time and more of socializing with children of his her age will help developing language skills still not then visit to a doctor.

See first you to understand why if your child is saying Amma the child is saying on its own only or you or the child is just saying when something is happening second is your child even responding to its name or when you ask your child to say Ammayi your child understanding what to say and does your child know who Amma is basically these things are very important for you to know because in this age kids can speak certain words if they don’t speak but they understand and respond to everything well so what is the response of your child first you have to see that and accordingly you can proceed with further understanding of the problem currently with what you mentioned I think it would be good for you to talk to your doctor regarding that
