#asktheexpert my baby is not sleeping with breastfeed, neither in the afternoon nor at night. he is 13 months old now. please suggest how to wean him. I need to resume work by mid-December.

Muskan KhannaMom of a 3 yr 1 m old girl1 Year agoA. Hi replace breastmilk to formula milk it is best idea for wean off easily Dexolac is a good formula milk and suitable for all ages of baby. For 13 months old you can give stage 3 of the formula milk as that will be suitable as per the age and growing needs of the child. It contains nutrients that support overall growth & development. It also has proteins that helps in easy digestion in babies.

AbhayaMom of a 16 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please apply neem oil or giloy juice to your nipples before feeding the baby. Also try to gradually wean the baby. Make your breasts less available for nursing. Stop wearing nursing clothes like nursing bras or nursing tops etc. Shorten each nursing session before stopping it completely. Postpone breast feeding sessions. Substitute food and drinks in place of breast feeding. Thanks and take care
