#AskTheExpert my baby is having cough... how to cure it... it's been 2days ... cough has started to her bcoz I had cough .... I guess it got infected... now I'm ok thrs only light cough... but now my baby is suffering from cough... how to help her in order to over come it... please help me

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist4 years agoA. hi avoid cold climate, cold winds.
give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby.
indirect steam , hot water bath will also help.
consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases.
post illness babies might be cranky , irritable.
nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position.
feed by spoon otherwise.
Maintain hygiene.
if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections.
