#AskTheExpert My baby is e months 24 days old weight 7.5 kg. She is having fever ans runny nose since yesterday. I have given paracetamol syrup but fever came back after 4-5 hours. Do I also need to give any antibiotic? If yes the please suggest which one would be better and also the quantity as earlier I have given swich antibiotic when baby was 4 months old and 5.8 kgs that time.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. ygv dCold and cough in small babies because of viral infections due to less immunity in the baby treat them sympatically with steam inhalation and saline drops in the nose of the baby it will subside in one week time

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of 2 children3 years agoA. it may be the viral. Cold and running nose may be due to season variation so you can give a steam for this and also can give asthakind for the cough if it is there otherwise it takes around 5 days to be normal . no need to worry for this .
