Q.

#AskTheExpert my baby is 9 months old. He was suffering from cold and cough for a week. When taken to the doctor, there was no congestion in his chest and he asked me not to worry, but his cough has increased after the doctor's visit. What to do?

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestahdnt medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
