#AskTheExpert my baby is 6 month old .she got uti...can u pl advise on reasons fir same ?

A. Hello ma’am It is mostly If you do not maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness into that area it’s very common. So I would just advise you to keep cleaning it properly for the time being do not make your child wear diaper if possible for you and even if you have to then keep changing the diapers every 4 to 6 hours and also always keep a minimum gap of 30 to 40 minutes in between change of two diapers so that the skin can’t breathe and it is better to try working out on these things and continue with the antibiotics with time your child which will surely be fine

A. Uti are common in girl child. For prevention pl maintain hygiene of intimate area. Always wash the area after potty in upward to downward direction. And frequently change the diapers or nappies.
