#AskTheExpert My baby is 5 months old. She is struggling more to poop from yesterday. Pls suggest what can be given to her to make easy to poop. Many times she is struggling like that only.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months osf age.
sometimes this can continue for one year of age also.
it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rsectum of the child.
the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying
if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination.

Do cycling exercise of legs and lift the legs and gently press across the tummy for easy passing of stool. Also apply oil on the potty area for easy passing of stool.
