#asktheexpert my baby is 5 months old and we are starting with solid foods as reccomended by our pedi,what foods are safest to give and in what consistency.

A. Hi mom. if your pediatrician has suggested that definitely you can start with the semi solid food but it should be in the semi liquid consistency After completion of 6 months you can start with the semi solid food which can include fruits vegetables and cereals. Fruits such as banana apple avocado orange. Vegetables such as potato sweet potato pumpkin green peas carrot. even you can give rice ragi or wheat porridge.
