Q.

#asktheexpert my baby is 4months 28 days old. His pee is dark yellow in colour since 4-5 days. He is breastfeeding and formula feeding. I have changed his formula from Similac Advanced to Adolact Plus. I’m confused if the colour of the pee is due to the change or due to dehydration? If dehydration, can I give him water? If yes, then how much?

A. Yes sometimes in the urination is really dark in colour it can be associated with dehydration but if your child is passing urine 10 to 12 times in the day then it is not a problem because as a minimum requirement if your child is meeting that requirement when the child is passing urine and there is no problem with the colour of the urine that the child is passing
