Q.

#asktheexpert My baby is 4 months old & he is having loose motions since 3 weeks & after his stool test we got to know that he is lactose intolerant. His pediatrician started Soya milk for him. Wanted to know that this lactose intolerance will be cured? And it will take how much time to get cured ? Thanks

A. for lactose intolerance you will have to give lactose free milk to the child. it can be either soya milk (isomil / zerolac) or milk preparations which does not contain lactose.d meet your doctor who can guide you regarding the available preparations. if the child is having dehydration you can give ors also.
