Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. complementary feeding in children is started after completion of 6 months of age and you have to gradually start all types of food in the form the child can swallow as well as the food should not cause any type of allergy to the child and should not cause any type of digestion problem so only one new food should be started at the time

after completion of 6 months age,you can start to give semisolid food to your child.
but till that please stick to breastfeeding.
please don't give anything to eat or drink other than breastmilk and needed medicines till 6 months age.
